Medical 
Support Team

Scan, file, collect and send requested medical records. Deliver medical equipment.

Medical Providers

Provide compassionate, holistic, and relational healthcare based on area of expertise.

Medical Records

Locate charts for upcoming clinics, file, receive, and send faxes, collect and send requested medical records

Nurse Volunteers

Provide compassionate, holistic, and relational healthcare based on area of expertise

Dental Providers / Hygienists / Assistant

Provide care for patients based on experience, expertise, and credentials.

Dental Prep Aide

Set up and cleanup of dental rooms, sterilization and general cleanup of clinic, help process paperwork and pray with patients.  No experience needed, will train.

Social Services Volunteers

Help assess client needs, connect them to resources in the community, and pray with them

Intake Volunteers

Lead patients through a self-assessment of their physical, emotional, relational, and spiritual health; share the gospel and pray with patients. Training provided.

Divorce Care Facilitator

If you’ve been through divorce and rebuilt a healthy life, use your experience to lead a group through practical information and biblical teaching for recovering from divorce or separation

Discipleship & Prayer Ministry

Provide compassionate listening to patients, empathizing with struggles, and praying with patients

Front Desk Volunteers

Greet patients cheerfully and professionally. Answer phones, check-in patients, and help with other general office needs

Volunteer Dietician

Use your nutrition expertise to educate, encourage, and equip patients with practical tools to support their overall health and well-being.

I found my calling here

Dr. Lawrence has served as our volunteer ophthalmologist for 8 years. “Retirement doesn’t mean your skills expire,” he reflects. “Just this week, I helped a 21-year-old woman see 20/20 for the first time since childhood. She can drive now, work now, see her future clearly. When God gives you abilities, you use them to serve others.

This is the missing piece

Wendy Peterson, PA, loves the whole-person approach. “I worked at clinics before that didn’t have mental health components,” she shares. “There’s a big difference when you add mental health to healthcare. When I discovered a patient’s physical symptoms were connected to emotional trauma, I could refer her to counseling just down the hall. How valuable is that?

Every morning we pray

Sarah, an intake volunteer, explains the culture at MOJ: “At 8:45 every morning, everyone in the building—staff and volunteers—gathers to pray and invite God to work. We’re not just treating symptoms; we’re asking God to heal the whole person. That makes every day meaningful.”

Questions About Volunteering?

Not at all! While we need medical professionals, we also need volunteers for intake, administration, maintenance, community outreach, and many other roles.
We appreciate any time you can give. Some volunteers serve weekly, others monthly, and some help with special projects or events.
No church membership is required. We welcome volunteers who share our commitment to excellent, compassionate care. Each volunteer signs a statement of faith as a follower of Jesus.
Yes! Every volunteer receives orientation about our mission and training specific to their role, plus ongoing support from staff and experienced volunteers. Contact our Volunteer Coordinator at (405) 340-7400 for more information.
